131.1 Proof · Barrel Strength
Old Forester Blue Label
ABH pick No. 3—the second-place barrel nobody was willing to leave behind.
The third ABH release was an Old Forester Single Barrel, Barrel Strength—better known as Blue Label—from Warehouse G, Floor 8, bottled at 65.55% ABV and 131.1 proof.
The mission was to bring home an Old Forester Black Label barrel, but one barrel-strength sample kept pulling everyone back. It finished second in the final ranking, but that is like saying you prefer a Lamborghini over a Ferrari—both barrels were absolute rockstars, and this one was far too exceptional to leave behind.
So ABH did what good whiskey people do when two barrels earn the trip home: we took both. The Blue Label became its own release, its own story, and one half of an unforgettable Old Forester double pick.
Its movie theme was The Blues Brothers, giving the barrel-headed crew the black suits, dark shades, blues-band swagger, and mission-for-proof attitude the release deserved.
